Acquiring control of seven banks in 1960, they were the seven regional banks of the former Indian states. They were rename ‘State Bank of’. These seven banks are State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur (SBBJ), State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH), State Bank of Indore (SBN), State Bank of Mysore (SBM), State Bank of Patiala (SBP), State Bank. Of Saurashtra (SBS) and State Bank of Travancore (SBT). All these banks were given the same logo as Parent Bank, SBI.

State Bank of India and all its associate banks seem to have used the same blue keyhole logo inspired by Kankaria Lake in Ahmedabad. State Bank of India Wordmark usually has a standard typeface, but other typefaces are also use. The wordmark now has the keyhole logo after “SBI”. The plan to make SBI a very large bank by merging the associate banks started in 2006 and SBS merged with SBI in September of the same year.
