Rajshahi City Corporation Job Circular 2022, Rajshahi City Corporation RCC is a self-governing corporation which involved in managing the affairs of Rajshahi city. It is one of the major divisional city corporations of Bangladesh. The included area divided into several wards. Each ward an elected ward commissioner. Rajshahi City Corporation is famous for its high concentration of tiny particles (PM10 and PM2.5) and its success in reducing air pollution. Rajshahi City Corporation established on August 1, 1876 as Rajshahi Municipality (Rampur-Boalia Municipality). A six-member town committee formed at the government headquarters of Rajshahi College under the leadership of the former principal of Rajshahi College.
Most members later replaced by elected members. Only taxpayers could take part in the election. Among the members of the committee was the administrator and medical officer. There was also a municipal board next to this committee. In 1884, the Committee expanded to 21 under Rule 3 of the Bengal Municipal Act, 1884. In 1930, 8 municipal committees formed. Council members are elected by popular vote for one year. Each committee had separate functions, such as public sanitation and health, public safety, welfare, education and water supply. The Corporation shall take appropriate measures to collect and remove garbage from all roads, public toilets, urinals, sewers, buildings and places under its control. Under the general control and supervision of the corporation, the occupants of all the buildings and premises located in the corporation area shall be responsible for the removal of garbage from it. The Corporation shall arrange for the disposal of rubbish bins or other containers at various places in the city and where similar rubbish bins or basins shall be provided.
The Corporation may by direct notice instruct the occupants of the adjoining houses and lands to dispose of their rubbish in such bins or basins. . Garbage or garbage removed or collected by the employees of the corporation or under their supervision and the garbage.
