It established in 1970 by the then Pakistan Air Force (now Bangladesh Air Force). It is under the jurisdiction of Dhaka Board of Secondary and Higher Education and managed by Bangladesh Air Force. There are a total of six Shaheen colleges across the country, including one in Dhaka. BAF Jab Circular 2023
It established on 1 March 1970 as an English medium school called Shaheen School. In 1967, along with English medium, Bengali medium introduced and it renamed as “Shaheen High School”. Later it recognized by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Dhaka. The school was renamed as “BAF Shaheen College Dhaka” in 1986. Degrees abolished from the college with 2007-08. At present the college conducts teaching activities from children’s class to class XII as per the rules of the Department of Primary Education, Department of Secondary and Higher Education and Board of Secondary and Higher Education. In 2008, Bengali medium as well as English medium introduced here. Two three-storey college buildings constructed in 1994-96. The auditorium was built in 2002-05.
